I mainly speak Brazilian Portuguese, so the site might have portions in both languages porque sou latino igual à Anitta, pero no hablo español muy bueno como La Reina.
you can find me in mastodon here, although I don't post much.
I used to have a handle with 235 randomly, and later in my school years, I learned that the uranium isotope that was used in nuclear power capabilities was uranium-235. So... I kept saying it was on purpose, but it wasn't... lol
Lots of things have happened since the last update to the website; I'm not sure anyone will see this, but does it matter? Would you keep a journal for other people or for yourself? IDK, and also I'm writing this as I'm writing it in the HTML of my neocities website lol.
Just wanted to say that I'm mostly done with my end of course paper, and I'm finishing college in a month. It scares the hell out of me, but I think I might handle. Sometimes it comes to mind and I feel that my guts are dropping or something, but now I've been feeling like it will be alright and I can handle most of it. Now I will read some stuff in my work-allocated home time (lol) for a test on Tuesday and then read more stuff for another big real test.
I had stopped using the popular microblogging website some months ago, but now it has been banned in my country. It is a conundrum, and a very convoluted one (lol, using hard words to sound fluent): it's a company that should be held responsible for an algorithm that favours controversy and exacerbated sentiments, but the State (in the figure of a federal judge) being very harsh to a platform that's widely used leaves a bad taste. I do see it as a way for people to be obligated to escape the bad behaviour that permeates that platform, but I can't help not to worry about possible censorship. Also, the banning of access to this private company made me think about how we rely on certain websites for information: I used to see my father accessing certain media outlet websites daily on the family computer when I was a kid, but now everyone prefers "aggregators" to get access to news and things alike. If this certain website's server is unavailable, regular people don't know what to do and don't even understand the concept of "servers" and how they could be inaccessible.
On another note, I've been in the process of writing an academic article, and, having Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) as a recent point of interest, I've been facing many ways in which we just RELY on some private software to be able to do parts of a work. Some of them are more heavily MARKETED as the better way to do a task, and when you search for an alternative free option (for which you don't have to create an account and give your private info), you eventually find it, but mostly in english guides, which hinders people that don't understand it. I've also been dealing with having to adopt AI techniques to write this article, and I feel reluctant to do it. I sorta hate having to proofread and validate AI's work, but also I have a particular issue with persistent procrastination. Well, I think this is the end of the entry.
